Amigurumi Doggies

Hello all! Sorry it's been so long.

Anyway, I just thought I would pop in here to share what I've been working on most recently.

These aren't on the shop yet, simply because I am not sure they are good enough, but I have been told by people who've seen them, that they are adorable.

This first one is a little Maltese dog, inspired by a youtube family's pack of six dogs (if you like watching vlogs, I highly recommend SACCONEJOLYs).

Sorry the pictures in this post are not the best, my phone's camera kinda sucks.

The next one is a little Yorkshire Terrier. Yorkies are my personal favorite dogs, particularly the ones with floppy, rather than pointed ears (lets be real though, they are all incredibly cute).

Please let me know if you like these little guys, I want to try making a little pug next.

PS: These are both done freehand style, no pattern used, and I don't make patterns. I've tried in the past, but they never turn out right.

Thank you for reading this! Please visit my shop, TheNightOwlsRoost, on Etsy.

Coming Soon to TheNightOwlsRoost

Just thought I would share a few pictures of the jewelry items I've made so far.

I'm still learning, so they aren't the best, but I am happy with these first attempts.

Keep an eye on my shop, since these should be available for purchase by this weekend.

I've Been Struck by Craft Brain... Again

Hello, I meant to do a work-in-progress post first, but I finished the items I was working on, so I'll just talk about those items, and maybe some ideas for future projects.
First off, a little insight into how I work; when I get into something, it tends to consume my mind, as of late, my mind is consumed with crocheting. Basically, if I'm not running errands, or doing household chores, I'm sat on my bed, listening to Netflix, or an audiobook, and crocheting my fingers off.

Yes, this started because of the Etsy shop I opened, but really, the shop gives me an excuse to get back into crocheting. I love being able to create something beautiful, or cute, with my bare hands. It also seems to help with my anxiety.

Anyway, the reason it's taken me so long to make a post here, is that I've been busy making a number of small amigurumi critters, most of which will likely not be going up on my Etsy shop, because they just didn't turn out the way I'd hoped.

I've made several tiny bunnies, a few cats (one of which will be available soon), and a little ladybug. I think all but one of the bunnies, were done freestyle, no patterns, just a vague idea in my head, that grows and grows and grows, until I have no choice but to attempt making it.

I have also made a few baby booties and headbands, since I first started this post several weeks ago.

As I stated above, when I get an idea in my head, it tends to consume my every thought; not long after I started wring this post, a new idea grabbed hold of me. This one involving jewelry. Since I already had a supply of beads, and earring findings, I started fiddling around with things. When I wasn't satisfied with what I had made, I bought some different things, and proceeded to get lost in my newest project.
Through much trial and error, I think I am happy with what I've made so far, a few earrings and pendants.
I'm still in this jewelry making head-space though, I want to make bracelets too, actually I did make a few, but I am not sure if they are good enough to add to my shop. I would like to get a few different kinds of supplies to try out, and that is what is currently consuming my mind.

I don't know when I'll be able to make another post here, but hopefully it won't be too long.

Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day/evening/night wherever you are in the world.

Hello!

Hello all!

This blog is a place for me to show my crafty WIP's, ideas for things I'd like to make, and just plain rambling about crafts in general.

Items shown here, will most likely be put up for sale on my Etsy store, TheNightOwlsRoost.

The reason I decided to separate my Etsy/craft centered posts, from my main blog, is that most of my posts on that blog, are about Avon, and we Avon Ladies are not supposed to promote any other businesses we have, on pages where we promote our Avon business. Since I don't want to get into trouble, I figured I should make a separate place for my crafty, Etsy related posts.

There's very little here at the moment, but I will be posting about the ideas swirling around in my head, very soon.

Thank you for reading this! Please visit my shop, to see what I currently have available.
